Financial Assistance for Victims Overview
The state of Georgia has a program to assist with crime related expenses if you are a victim of certain crimes.  Financial assistance for victims of crime may be provided through the state’s Crime Victims Compensation Program.  This program assists eligible victims of crimes with medical, funeral, crime scene clean-up and mental health counseling expenses. In addition, if applicable, victims may also apply for lost wages or loss of support benefits.
